It is now three weeks to go before the beginning of the 2019 SMU Steel Summit Conference in Atlanta (Aug. 26-28). We want to remind everyone that the CME Group is hosting a Price Risk Management Workshop just prior to the opening of the conference on Monday at 10:30 a.m.
Please find the link to the latest version of the agenda here.
Speakers are now confirmed for the CME Price Risk Management Workshop, which will be hosted by the CME Group on Monday, Aug. 26, from 10.30 a.m. to noon at the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway Hotel, just prior to the Steel Market Update Steel Summit Conference, which opens at 1 p.m. at the Georgia International Convention Center next door.
The panel of experts will include:
Andre Marshall, CEO and Founder, Crunch Risk
Gaurav Chhibbar, Partner, Metal Edge Partners
Jeremy Flack, CEO, Flack Global Metals
Sean Kessler, Manager – Metals Products, CME Group
CME Group’s suite of ferrous derivatives includes rolled steel, iron ore and scrap futures that are widely used by physical hedgers in the U.S. steel market. This workshop will focus on Hot Rolled Steel Futures based on the U.S. Midwest Domestic Hot-Rolled Coil Steel index. The discussion will be a lively and interactive opportunity to understand just how liquid this contract is becoming, to understand how applicable it is to your business, and to meet and network with people that can help you learn more or get involved in the market.
To register in advance for this event, email conferences@crugroup.com Registrations will be taken on site beginning a 10 a.m. at the Georgia International Convention Center next to the hotel. You can also register on-site by bringing a business card, which will be collected at the door prior to the workshop beginning. You do not need to go to the convention center and get your registration packet for the 2019 SMU Steel Summit Conference prior to attending this event.
