Nucor is lowering its list price for spot hot-rolled (HR) coil for the first time since May 27.
The steelmaker said in a letter to customers on Monday its consumer spot price (CSP) for HR coil would be $900 per short ton, effective immediately.
The price is down $10/st from last week but flat vs. a month ago.
Nucor said pricing at its West Coast joint venture, California Steel Industries (CSI), would also decline $10/st week over week (w/w) to $960/st.
