Nucor increases HR spot price by $5/ton

Nucor increased its weekly hot-rolled coil spot list price by $5 per short ton (st) on Monday, Nov. 10. This was its third increase in as many weeks.
The Charlotte, N.C.-based steelmaker announced its HR consumer spot price (CSP) is $895/st this week, up from $890/st last week.
Nucor’s West Coast joint venture, California Steel Industries (CSI), however, kept its HR price unchanged week on week (w/w) at $950/st.

Lead times for all spot orders remain at 3-5 weeks, Nucor said.
SMU’s HRC price averaged $825/st FOB mill, east of the Rockies, as of Tuesday, Nov. 4. That’s up $5/st w/w.
