    Written by David Schollaert

Nucor increased its weekly hot-rolled coil spot list price by $10 per short ton (st) again on Monday, Dec. 15. This was its eighth increase in as many weeks, moving up $65/st over that span.

The Charlotte, N.C.-based steelmaker announced its HR consumer spot price (CSP) is $940/st this week, up from $930/st last week.

Nucor’s West Coast joint venture, California Steel Industries (CSI), also increased its HR price to $990/st. That’s also up $10/st week on week (w/w).

You can track mill pricing announcements on our website calendar.

Lead times for all spot orders remain at 3-5 weeks, Nucor said.

SMU’s HRC price averaged $895/st fob mill, east of the Rockies, as of Tuesday, Dec. 9. That was unchanged w/w.

You can find weekly price assessment information each Tuesday evening.
