The Charlotte, N.C.-based steelmaker said in a letter to customers on Monday, April 13, the CSP for its West Coast joint venture, California Steel Industries (CSI), also increased by $5/st week over week (w/w) to $1,095/st.

Lead times of 3 to 5 weeks will continue to be offered, according to the letter.

SMU’s HRC spot price averaged $1,040/st fob mill, east of the Rockies, as of Tuesday, April 7, up $10/st vs. the previous week. We will update our prices on Tuesday evening, April 14.
