ITC votes to move tin mill products trade case forward
Written by Laura Miller
The tin mill trade case brought by U.S. Steel and the United Steelworkers is moving forward after a key vote.
Three US International Trade Commission (ITC) commissioners voted on Friday that the US industry is materially injured by imports of tin mill products from China, Taiwan, and Turkey. The imports are allegedly dumped and illegally subsidized.
As a result of the ITC’s initial affirmative injury ruling, the trade case moves forward, with the Department of Commerce scheduled to release preliminary dumping and subsidy margins in late September.
