    Nucor increases spot HR price by $10/ton, again

    Nucor announced on Monday, June 8, that its consumer spot price (CSP) for hot-rolled coil will be $1,115 per short ton (st) for the week, up $10/st from last week.

    The CSP for HR from CSI on the West Coast will be $1,165, also up $10/st.

    Lead times of 3 to 5 weeks will continue to be offered, said a letter to customers.

    Nucor has increased its HR spot price each week since the week of Jan. 27, now up $365/st over the span.

    SMU’s weekly price assessment noted HR coil prices from $1,080/st to $1,130/st, with an average of $1,105/st as of Tuesday, June 2.

    We will update our prices on the evening of Tuesday, June 9.
