Mesabi Metallics nears iron ore pellet output, eyes DRI plant: Report

Mesabi Metallics is considering building a direct-reduction iron (DRI) plant as its Minnesota Iron Range iron ore mine and pellet plant begin startup, according to local reports.

The company, owned by India-based Essar Group, is on “the precipice of production” for its first iron ore pellets, Mesabi Metallics President and CEO Joe Broking said in an article in KAXE last week.
