Iron ore shipments from US ports on the Great Lakes slipped in September from a year earlier, according to the Lake Carriers Association (LCA).
US-flag shipments fell 1.2% year over year to 4.6 million short tons (st) of ore in September. LCA said shipments were 11.4% below the month’s five-year average.
