Nucor is pushing its list price for hot-rolled (HR) coil up by $15 per short ton to $930/st.
This marks the eighth week that the Charlotte-N.C.-based steelmaker has raised its consumer spot price (CSP) for HR sheet.
The price will be $930/st at all producing mills, except for West Coast subsidiary California Steel Industries (CSI), where the HR base price will be $990/st, which is also $15 above last week.
In a letter to customers on Monday, the company said it is maintaining lead times of 3-5 weeks on spot orders.
SMU’s average HR price was at $950/st, as of Tuesday, March 11. That was up $25/st w/w, according to our interactive pricing tool.
