President Trump said he has no plans to create exemptions on recently enacted steel and aluminum tariffs, according to media reports.
Trump made the comments to reporters aboard Air Force One late Sunday night, according to a report in USA Today.
In addition, he noted that reciprocal and sectorial tariffs will begin on April 2, the article said.
The undiluted Section 232 steel and aluminum tariffs went into effect on March 12.
Requests for additional comment from the US Trade Representative and the US Commerce Department were not returned by time of publication.
