Commerce amends duties on rectangular pipe from Mexico

The Department of Commerce is adjusting the anti-dumping duties on light-walled rectangular (LWR) pipe and tube from Mexico. The move follows an annual administrative review covering the year ended July 31, 2024.
Commerce assigned the following weighted-average dumping margins: 10.23% for Perfiles LM, 6.36% for Regiomontana de Perfiles y Tubos, and 8.16% for Aceros Cuatro Caminos, Maquilacero, and Ternium Mexico.
The figures differ slightly from the previous rates of 6.48% for Perfiles LM, 13.04% for Maquilacero, and 9.88% for Aceros Cuatro Caminos, Regiomontana de Perfiles y Tubos, Ternium Mexico, and Nacional de Acero.
Import numbers
Mexico remains the largest foreign supplier of LWR pipe and tube to the US. The nation sent 134,202 short tons (st) to the US in 2023 and 126,049 st in 2024. Shipments slowed in 2025 to 95,478 st. Year-to-date 2026 shipments total 40,923 st.
Canada, meanwhile, remains the second-biggest origin for LWR imports. In 2023 and 2024, Canada sent 88,097 st and 83,753 st, respectively. Exports dropped to 46,637 st in 2025. YTD 2026 imports stand at 22,220 st.
Vietnam, the Dominican Republic, and India are the next-largest suppliers, each sending less than 17,000 st in 2025.
