    We’re getting ready to initiate the 10-day countdown until Steel Summit 2025 in Atlanta. Liftoff is on Aug. 25, and the conference goes through Aug. 27. With the speed at which things have moved this year, it will be great to take a breath and reflect on what’s happened so far.

    Then again, I’m not so sure we will get a breather. That is, tariff news dropped while we were at the Tampa Steel Conference back in February. Will lightning strike twice? Since “Liberation Day” back in April, it’s been a veritable lightning storm out there. I’m sure a lot of our speakers may need to make some last-minute adjustments to their slide decks. It’s definitely been that kind of year.
