Steel trade groups urge President Trump to keep S232 tariffs intact

Several steel trade organizations have called on President Trump to resist weakening Section 232 steel tariffs.

The groups sent a letter to the White House on Friday. Signatories included the Steel Manufacturers Association (SMA) and the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). The American Line Pipe Producers Association (ALPPA), Specialty Steel Industry of North America (SSINA), and the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) also signed.
