Mexico to maintain duties on HR from Russia, Ukraine

Mexico’s Ministry of Economy has completed a five-year sunset review of the anti-dumping duty (AD) order on imports of hot-rolled (HR) sheet from Russia and Ukraine.

The review covered the 2024 calendar year, according to a notice in the Official Journal of the Federation. However, the review recorded no imports from Russia or Ukraine during the period. The Ministry’s decision therefore relied on estimates and projections of what would happen without the duties.
