    SMU Steel Summit: 700 strong and rising

    Now that June has arrived, the official countdown until SMU’s Steel Summit 2024 – North America’s premier flat-rolled steel conference – has begun.

    If you haven’t already registered, don’t delay. More than 700 attendees from more than 300 companies have already registered to be in Atlanta this August. In short, it’s poised to be another big year.

    The details

    The event runs Monday-Wednesday, Aug. 26-28, in Atlanta at the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC).

    We’ve got a host of great speakers lined up, including leaders from mills, service centers, and end-users, as well as analysts, economists, and trade-policy experts. The agenda for the event can be found here.

    We’d love for everyone in the SMU Community to join us to learn about the latest steel-price forecasts, economic outlooks, and the current events shaping our industry. And don’t forget the conference provides some of the best networking opportunities out there!

    David Schollaert is deputy editor-in-chief for Steel Market Update. David joined SMU after more than a decade in the metals and mining industry in a myriad of different roles. Much of his early experience and expertise were within the coverage and analysis of steel-making raw materials and served previously as senior editor of the CRU Prices Service.
