Cleveland-Cliffs said on Friday its United Steelworkers (USW) union employees at its Northshore Mining operations in Minnesota have ratified a new three-year labor agreement.
The Cleveland-based steelmaker said the agreement covers approximately 430 USW-represented employees at Cleveland-Cliffs Northshore.
Cliffs and the workers reached a tentative deal on Aug. 30.
The workers at the ops mine taconite in Babbitt, Minn., make iron ore pellets in Silver Bay, Minn., and transport products and tailings.
