Hear what Roger has to say about the Steel 101 experience:

“Our virtual Steel 101 class offers virtual mill tours via prepared videos covering both
the BF/BOF and EAF process routes as well as what is common to both.

Our course instructors walk you through what you are seeing and pause to highlight the key points covered in class, as well as to make sure any questions are answered along the way.

Attendees will walk away with a good overview of all the main processing steps, starting from the raw materials to finished mill products delivered to the marketplace. The class offers just the right amount of depth and breadth for anyone wanting to know more about the steel industry.

An excellent training for new hires, people moving into the steel industry or anyone wanting exposure to other aspects of the industry that they might not be familiar with. Covering basic metallurgy, processing methods and marketplace fundamentals, there is content for all types of employees from technical, customer service, finance, as well as executives.

With the networking and resources available, the connections available to folks long after the class is over; it’s no wonder why folks are pleased they came – and recommend it to their colleagues.”

Virtual training has so many advantages:

We recently surveyed participants who attended the virtual workshop, they found our online platform easy to use and flexible. You can participate in the course either live or on-demand after the scheduled training, and you will have access to both the platform and our instructors for several weeks after the workshop has aired.

This workshop is a really great way not only to learn, but to reconnect with other people in different sectors of the steel industry. The interactive structure of the workshop allows for students to have discussions and learn from each other as well as from the instructors. We even have a networking happy hour at the end of day one.

Virtual learning means that you will be able to make the most of your training experience – with no travel or accommodation costs!

I look forward to seeing you at our training courses in 2021.

Best regards,

John Packard

“I thought the class was amazing and very helpful for someone like me who was new to the market. I appreciated the time each instructor took to ensure every question was answered. I’d love to go to another one next year even if it comes out of my own pocket. A+”
