Ford Names New Global Supply Chain Head, Other Exec Changes

On Tuesday, Ford Motor Co. announced a new head to lead its global supply chain operations, while also detailing other changes to its executive team.
Liz Door will be the automaker’s new chief supply chain officer beginning on June 12. She will be taking on responsibilities that were held since September on an interim basis by CFO John Lawler, to whom she’ll report, Ford said.
The Dearborn, Mich.-based company said that for the past six years Door was the leader of global strategic sourcing for home-appliance maker Whirlpool Corp., and she spent more than 15 years in a series of purchasing and supply chain roles at General Motors.
“Liz brings deep, relevant domain experience – including leveraging the Internet of Things to create great value for customers – from both outside and inside the global auto industry,” Lawler said in a statement.
Separately, Kiersten Robinson, general manager of family vehicles, and president of Mexico and Canada for Ford Blue, will be leaving the company July 1, Ford said. Also, Jonathan Jennings will retire from his post as vice president of supply chain, effective Aug. 1.
Within Ford Blue, Tim Slatter has been named head of vehicle programs, which was effective June 1, a post previously led by Trevor Worthington, who retired last month. The assignment includes management of all Ford Blue global vehicle programs, including derivatives, and Ford Performance products.
Meanwhile, Dave Bozeman, who’s been running Ford Blue’s enthusiast vehicles unit and the Ford customer service division, has taken an offer to become CEO of C.H. Robinson, a Minnesota-based transportation and third-party logistics firm, the company said.
