Nucor maintains HR price at $750/ton

Nucor’s weekly consumer spot price (CSP) for hot-rolled (HR) coil was unchanged week on week (w/w) at $750 per short ton (st) on Monday, Nov. 18.
The Charlotte, N.C-based steelmaker kept its published price flat this week after moving it up by $10/st the week prior.
The HR coil base price for Nucor’s joint-venture subsidiary California Steel Industries (CSI) was also unchanged w/w at $810/st.
Lead times of 3-5 weeks will continue to be offered, but Nucor noted that customers should contact their district sales manager for availability. Published extras will apply to all spot transactions.
SMU’s latest check of the market on Nov. 12 had HR coil spot prices ranging from $640-740/st, averaging $690/st, up $10/st from the prior week.
